Goal: To understand the unique adaptations of the Albatross (specifically the Wandering Albatross) and how they allow these unique birds to move between biomes, inhabiting the ecocline. Also, What dangers would this life history strategy impose?
Theme: The ecocline is the space between 2 different biomes. Animals that inhabit this area have highly specifica adaptations to do so.
Goal: Using GPS mapped locations of albatross to identify the types and goals of their migration.
Theme: Learning to map coordinates, Understand latitude and longitude, calculate distances and apply these maps to albatross life history.
Goal: Using albatross bolus (think of an owl pellet) to identify parts of their diet.
Theme: Natural and unnatural (PLASTIC) dietary components. |
